Where to Next? Part I
We woke up on New Years Day 2018 and Jeff had pulled up an article by National Geographic - here - about 7 natural wonders of South America that are a must see before they disappear. Then we got to talking about where we want to go next, and I realized that South America was never really on my list of places to go!
I always have a travel bug. I long to travel and see new things, whether it's within the U.S. or Europe or the South Pacific, I have been to different places, but I still long for more adventures.
Today I have compiled a little list of the places I have traveled to most recently, and on Monday I will have a post talking about where I want to go next. The world is a vast and magical place that is available for us to explore! We just need to make the time to do it.
Even though I was born in the UK, we came over to the US when I was 4 years old. Since then we have gone back every few years to visit family and friends. Even though I have been to London numerous times throughout my life, there is still something about it that makes me excited to visit. Whether it be the museums, restaurants, or parks - there is something so magical about that city - I would live there in a heartbeat. Here are some pictures from our recent trip in 2015.
The first time I visited France was in high school, 2001, the second time was when I was 19 years old, and then most recently in 2015 when Jeff and I went to Europe for our baby-moon before little Ender was born. Each time I have had a different feeling when I have visited, I think it has a lot to do with the company that I had for each trip. This most recent trip we went to Paris and really enjoyed roaming around the famous sites, and seeing the Christmas markets (we went in December). Here are some pictures from our days in Paris.
Vienna, Austria was our wild card location on our most recent travels. We decided to go there based on the amazing Christmas markets that we had seen online, but what we got out of the city was far better than just the Christmas markets - even though those were amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole vibe and feel of Vienna, Austria. We loved it! Their underground/subway system is awesome, they have great palaces and gardens to tour, and they have awesome museums! It was our favorite place we visited on our 2 week Europe excursion. I can't wait to plan a trip to visit again during the spring.
Where have your travels taken you? Where would you go again, or where would you go that you've never had the chance to visit?
Monday I will be sharing where I would love to go in the future - once we are a little family of 4. See you then!
