Hi.

Welcome my blog. This is my space where I focus on being a working mother, my families stories, and write about my curated life.

Our next adventure...

Our next adventure...

New Jersey. The East Coast. Weather. Snow.

These are the 4 things that are going to be changing in our lives come June/July. For 2 years, starting mid-June, we are going to be living in New Jersey! We have been deciding on whether or not to take this work opportunity for over a year and when it came for us as a family to decide, we decided that for Jeff's career this would be a great opportunity! It also is a great opportunity for my career too - I will be finding a job once we move out there.

Our moving journey will not start and end in New Jersey, we will either be moving back to California or some other state! But for now New Jersey is the only future location that we know 100% about.

Jeff is a Southern California kid through and through, and we really thought we would spend the rest of our lives here. Jeff was born and raised here. I moved here when I was 4 years old, so I have spent most of my life here in Southern California.

So why are we excited about moving to the East Coast? There are so many reasons. We are going to be 1-2 hours away from New York City! We have never been and have always wanted to visit. This also goes for other cities and states on the East Coast that we have always wanted to visit: Boston, Upstate New York, Maine, Vermont, and Philadelphia. We are going to be a shorter plane trip to England! England is where 70% of my family lives and being a 7 hour plane trip from New York to London = more reasonable for a family with 2 small children. Culture! The culture that we will get to experience while living on the East Coast is just so different than Southern California. From museums to restaurants we are ready to live it up. Fall! I think I love fall. But I have never really experienced fall before. From the look of it, and the fact that my birthday is in November, makes me think that I am going to LOVE the fall. I'll report back when it fall arrives.

If you have ever visited/lived/live on the East Coast, what are some amazing things that you do/see? I would love some recommendations!
